It was a long trip back to the base in Almere. I took the extended path by choosing to rest at nights in the Gold Coast, KL and another night in London before reaching Netherlands. I wanted to get back, get over the jetlag and train as much as I could before the start of what promises to be a busy season filled with matches and travelling to and from the venues.
I had been in touch with my European clubs for their local league matches and started hearing back from them about dates that they need me for. I now have a team in the Danish, Austrian and Italian leagues alongside my team from last season in the Dutch league - Zwolle. Leagues are essential for survival around here as there aren't as many good local events as they do in NZ.
By this time I had also carefully planned my PSA events for the next 4 months and it sure looks busy. First up is the World Open qualifying match in Surrey next week followed by the British Grand Prix. October will see me head out to Canada once again for a couple of smaller events. November has the Dutch and London Opens and in December it is back to Asia with the World Open in Saudi and a smaller event in Pakistan. This is on top of the league matches in between events which will keep me busy and active for the season. I look forward to it all with much anticipation.
